Soundcore's Space 2 noise-canceling headphones hit an all-time low price

Soundcore's Space 2 noise-canceling headphones have dropped to their lowest price yet. As of October 23, they are listed at $106.49, a $23 discount, at Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart. The sale applies to all three color options.

The Space 2 follow the Space One, which The Verge's John Higgins counted among the best budget noise-canceling headphones available when they launched in 2023. The newer model keeps that formula and improves on it, though it carries a $30 higher list price than its predecessor. The current discount takes some of the sting out of that increase.

Active noise cancellation is one of the main upgrades. The Space 2 do a better job of suppressing low-frequency sounds, the kind produced by trains and airplane engines. Soundcore has also made a number of design changes that give the headphones more accurate sound than the original.

Several of the features that made the Space One a strong value are still here. The headphones support high-resolution LDAC audio, and they work with HearID 3.0. That tool personalizes the sound: the listener goes through a series of audio samples, and the headphones adjust to the responses.

Battery life has also improved. With noise cancellation switched on, the Space 2 can run for up to 50 hours, up from 40 hours on the earlier model. With it switched off, the figure rises to 70 hours, compared with 55 before.

Listeners are not stuck if the battery runs out. The headphones include a 3.5mm jack, so they can still be used with a wired connection. They also pause playback automatically when removed from the head, which helps anyone who steps away mid-song or mid-podcast and wants to resume in the same spot.

The Verge describes the Space 2 as an easy recommendation, citing the stronger noise cancellation and better sound over the original. At $106.49, the headphones cost less than they ever have, though the price is $30 above what the Space One originally cost.
